We are back!

We went on a trip to Germany. Oh it was so great. The kids were all doing fine on the plane (yes yes unbelievable, isn't it?). And then we stayed at my parents' place and it was so nice not to have to cook and even being able to give the kids away as they were happy to play with granny and grandpa. And for my toddler daughter is was so exciting, being on a plane, riding in a nice car (well we had several different rental ones) instead of having to take one of HK's old bumpy taxis. And then the playgrounds! There was sand everywhere instead of rubber mats. And grass and fresh air. And my mum even has a couple of chickens. So you can imagine how the little girl enjoyed her stay.
So we all came back refreshed and relaxed but then the jetlag hit us and half of the battery is already empty. So maybe next year we'll stay a little bit longer so that the effort is worth it.

A Sunday on the beach

Yesterday we went to the beach on Lantau Island. Our little daughter was totally excited about bathing in the waves. She really is a little surfer girl! It felt like being in Bali rather than being in the big city. In the evening wild cattle came down to the beach. It was a very funny sight. They are actually not that wild. They like being patted... So we had it all yesterday, beach, wildlife and barnyard holidays!

Hong Kong in spring

Spring is finally coming. On Sunday the weather was nice and warm and we went all the way up to 'The Peak'. On the way I took a few shots of a magnolia tree in full blossom. I think they look a bit dreamy...

We are holidaying in Hong Kong

This week we are enjoying ourselves in Hong Kong. Yesterday we spent the afternoon at the beach and I was able to read again while the little one was busy exploring her new travel cot/tent. So cool someone came up with this superlightweight (only 2.5 kg) travel cot that can be stored away in a relatively small bag. Plus it comes with UV protection so it's perfect for the beach as well.

Here is a link for the travel cot for those who are interested:
