20. door: Candied Almonds

These candied almonds are yummy with a glass of mulled wine or just red wine or tea or beer...

100 g caster sugar
5 tablespoons water
150-200 g almonds

In a saucepan mix the sugar and the water and bring to boil. Boil until the mixture turns brown. Then add the almonds and mix well. Spread the almonds on a sheet of baking paper and let cool down. Store in an airtight jar.
